Understanding the Culture of Narrative Practices: Adaptation of the Morgan Survey
Lee Sun-Hae

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to adapt an exercise developed to facilitate an understanding of the narrative ways of working to a Korean educational context and discuss its implications for Korea. The study participants consisted of a class of students in a graduate-level narrative therapy course offered at a Korean university. They filled out two different survey questionnaires developed at Dulwich Centre and provided their reflections in two different forms, one oral, the other written. Drawing on these data, the article discusses what the students experienced, comparing their responses with a document reporting reflections of Australian trainees who had performed the same surveys. This study reveals both similarities and differences, apparently due to socio-cultural factors. The article concludes with the author¡¯s reflections on the results, offering ideas regarding education and training of narrative practices in Korea.
